Robertson Contractors has been awarded the construction of an infrastructure project on Elm Street in Winona, Missouri, focusing on stormwater improvements and enhanced accessibility. This significant undertaking will replace the existing low water crossing and pedestrian bridge with a modern, combined-use, three-span prestressed concrete box beam bridge, elevated by approximately 2 feet for superior hydraulic performance to reduce flooding. The bridge is engineered to ensure safe and efficient passage with separate pathways for pedestrians and vehicles. Complementing the bridge construction, the project includes comprehensive roadway reconstructions over a span of about 420 linear feet and the introduction of new sidewalks at the bridge’s approaches to ensure safe and accessible passage for all.
